As usual a quick measure of the paintwork to see that all bodywork panels are healthy and no signs of damage using the Paint Detective PD8. The GT-R was then ready for the next process. Healthy readings, however on average a little lower than the previous GTR detailed.
The Nissan was then given a hand polish of Autoglym SuperGlym which was allowed to cure for approximately 45 minutes before buffing off prior to a 2nd coat of SuperGlym. Once this was taken off, the whole bodywork was then given a clean with a pre-wax cleanser, Swissvax Cleaner Fluid. Once this had been removed the car was ready for its protection coat.
Again, the choice of wax to be used for this protection detail was the highly favoured Swissvax Zuffenhausen. This was applied by hand to all parts of the car and was left to cure for 20 minutes before being buffed off with a new microfibre cloth. The tyres and wheel arches were then dressed before I gave another and final wax coating.
